We like to say we have 2 seasons here in Nederland, Winter and July. Yes, it's cold and snowy most of the year. Occasionally it even snows on the fourth of July! We love it, but it's not for the timid that's for sure. In February, our dedicated members will be snowshoeing to our chapter events.
Finally spring is here! The wildflowers are showing thier colorful faces and we actually got our first rain of the season last weekend. Anticipating the awesome thunder stoms that will soon be rockin' the rockies and camping trips on the horizon as the temps hold above freezing through the night. Ahhh, it's true, the spring and summer, short lived as they may be, are worth waiting for through the long winter's freeze.
